OFRI-sponsored Science in the Forest is a comprehensive science inquiry education program offered by Wolftree Inc., a non-profit corporation whose mission is to serve people and their communities through innovative science education, ecosystem restoration and ecological research. The program enlivens science curricula with cutting-edge classroom and field-based activities that examine forest ecology and management. It encourages students to be actively engaged in the science inquiry process and to use their creative and critical-thinking skills. It also cultivates their interest and skills in science and math by demonstrating how they are applied in forest management. The program utilizes numerous outdoor classrooms.
